Interview questions
Interview questions by role
These are original practice questions for five roles people actually interview for, grouped the way a loop is usually run: behavioral stories, technical or craft questions, and situational judgment. Each one includes what a strong interviewer is listening for, so you can practice the answer instead of memorizing a script. When you want a full prep course, start Role prep for the role and Interview Basecamp builds Learning Blocks around the competencies that role tests. If you already have a posting, Job prep does the same from that job description.
Interview question FAQ
How should I use these interview questions?
Practice out loud, one question at a time. State the point in the first sentence, then give a specific example with your role, the constraint, and the result. Use the tip under each question as a checklist after you answer, not as a script to recite.
Are these the only questions I will be asked?
No. Loops vary by company and level. These questions cover the judgments that show up again and again for each role. A prep course goes further: Role prep builds Learning Blocks for the competencies of the role, and Job prep does the same from a specific job description.
What is the difference between Role prep and Job prep?
Role prep starts from the role you want and builds a prep course for that kind of work. Job prep starts from a job description and builds a prep course for that posting. Both are made of Learning Blocks, which are short study units on one competency, plus practice questions.
